The Chattahoochee PTSA has ongoing volunteer needs that are posted on this site. The majority of our needs are posted in the "volunteering" section of the site at this link. Special needs will be shared on the site home page, on Facebook, and in our weekly e-mail newsletter.

Bells and Whistles Fundraising
Chair:   Helpdesk
Description:   This committee is responsible for tracking the sales of the Paperless PTO Bells and Whistles fundraising program.
Executive Committee
Chair:   Suzanne Stagmeier, Co-President (

The PTSA Executive Committee serves as the managing body for the organization, providing leadership and direction throughout the year. Executive Committee members typically serve a two year term in office, and nominations for new officers take place in second semester each year. View a list of officers and roles at this link.

Family Engagement
Chair:   Maynav Golomb (

This committee engages the Hooch family on all levels by welcoming new students and their families to Chattahoochee, by organizing Student Ambassadors to ensure that new students have strong support from their first day at school, and by reconnecting Chattahoochee graduates through the Hooch Alumni Club. 

Communications Committee
Chair:   Vice President - Penny Grapner (

This committee is responsible for all communications between the PTSA and Chattahoochee families, students and staff and our community. The following activites are managed by the Communications Committee:

  • Monthly Let's Chatt Newsletter
  • Weekly informational e-blasts
  • PTSA Facebook Fan Page
  • PTSA Publicity (print, broadcast and radio)
  • PTSA website
  • Historian/Reporting

Each program managed by this committee is headed by a chairperson.

Academic Enrichment
Chair:   Vice President - Nancy Dale (

The Academic Enrichment Committee is responsible for programs and events that recognize and award our high-achieving students at Chattahoochee. These include SAT/ACT Recognition Boards, CHS Awards Night, Scholar Awards, the annual PTA Reflections Contest, and Honor Roll Recognition.

Each program managed by this committee is headed by a chairperson and a sub-committee.

Health & Wellness
Chair:   Vice President - Karen Cearbaugh (

The Health & Wellness Committee is responsible for providing educational programming and events for students that raise awareness about risks to personal health. Topics include drug & alcohol awareness, healthy eating, social media safety, sun safety, mental health, and safe driving.

Each program managed by this committee is headed by a chairperson and a sub-committee.

In addition to keeping Chattahoochee updated about legislation that affects our students, the Legislative Committee leads several special programs each year, including voter registration at Chattahoochee and PTA Day at the Capitol.

The Membership Committee is responsible for increasing awareness about the PTSA and expanding our reach. Membership is critical to the success of our organization and our ability to provide exceptional programs and services to all students and families at Chattahoochee.

School Services
Chair:   Vice President - Nancy Clark (

The School Services Committee provides volunteer support in many school departments, including Front Office, Media Center, Career Center and Tutoring Center. In addition, School Services provides hospitality support for events hosted at Chattahoochee, assists with campus beautification efforts and determines grant funding for various projects and programs at Chattahoochee.


Student Programs

The Student Programs Committee administers many student special events, including Homecoming, Senior Activities, International Night and class-level team building events.
